63 years ago when I entered college, I wasn’t a rich kid, didn’t come from a rich family. So I worked my way through college, and I had some loans. I paid those loans back because all loans must be paid back. Biden has another idea! If he could get the vote from kids who borrowed a lot of money, and simply don’t want to pay it back, all he has to do is say “ I’m going to forgive their loans!” Of course he can’t do that. There’s a community social app called Next Door, and I don’t think I’ll be on there much longer. Often times political questions are asked, and they always have a slant to them. Today April 19th is the anniversary of the Branch Davidian complex being attacked, and 119 men, women, and children being burned to death. The ATF wanted to arrest David Koresh, the director of this 7th Day Adventist sect. And they could have done so easily.  David Koresh went shopping in town every week. We have seen when some banks have been considered “too big to fail.” They are considered so essential that we must excuse their ineptitude. We prop them up with money taken from citizens. Today we are also seeing news outlets that are “too big to lie.” We hang on every word, never doubting that they may be leaving out inconvenient truths - or even lying to us outright. This undeserved faith in the media comes from an unbiblical, and therefore unrealistic view of human nature as “basically good .” We then extend this thinking to government officials, medical personnel, and also the news media. If you’ve seen any wartime movies of our Second World War with Japan, you remember the Japanese colonel saying, “we have ways to make you talk!” Throughout history, torture has been used to make people talk, to make them confess to crimes they did not really commit. And sometimes the torture is a bit more subtle. For instance, General Michael Flynn was a danger to the Deep State because he knew how to protect President Trump from their attacks. During my last 80 years of life, I’ve discovered that love can be expressed in so many ways. A husband’s love for his wife, a mother’s love for her child. But I also discovered that hate can be expressed in even more ways, and more deeply. For instance, Rebecca Lawrence, a 71 year old great grandmother and lifelong nurse followed a peaceful group into the Capitol on January the 6th .  She didn’t speak a word. She just prayed, prayed for her country. Ten minutes, later she walked out. And two years later federal marshals handcuffed her, put her in chains. She’s going to be sentenced to three years in prison and a fine of $210,000. Is it the deep state’s hatred for a 71 year old great grandmother? I don’t think so. Last week the Biden administration told us they were not going to fill our strategic petroleum reserve because it would be too expensive. Last week New York City police raided a house where illegal immigrants were squatting, and they found a cache of guns and drugs. But after they were arrested, the feds came in and had them released. So the criminal drug dealers from Latin America got preferential treatment. It looks like that’s becoming a thing. California found a new way to be soft on crime. If you’re a minority, particularly if you’re black, that’s going to be taken into account. And there’s a good chance you’ll be freed, no matter what you’ve done, because of “systemic racism.” That is, you weren’t arrested because you’d killed that guy, or sold illegal drugs, or raped those women. You were arrested because the police are racists. Maybe you recall that in the story of “The Emperors New Clothes?” There was one hero, a little boy who said “The Emperor has no clothes on!” The entire town could see that the Emperor was naked, but nobody had the courage to say it. Is it possible to commit a hate crime against a Christian?  Last Saturday was a great event. The transgender activists had “day of vengeance,” and they assembled in front of the Supreme Court building in Washington. Wonder what kind of vengeance they’re planning? Well, we already know what happened in Nashville, TN, and it was a horrific crime. But we also know the transgender killer specifically said he/she wanted to kill Christians. It’s hard for the normal mind to get around that kind of hate. ABC news tried to explain it. They said that Tennessee had just passed a law that they weren’t going to give free transgender “medical” care.
