The Coaches podcast encourages mentors who devote themselves to transforming people's lives. Host Royce Laguerta is a health and life coach and the founder of Nevada Fitness. He started this show to help athletes and sports coaches improve their strategies. The title has changed throughout the years.

In 2024, Royce began focusing on all types of professional coaches. These include teachers, financial consultants, and executive coaches. The podcast host prioritizes individualized, sustainable changes. Listeners can benefit from applicable, real-life advice.

Royce was born impoverished in the Philippines. His home lacked doors and windows. Royce felt ashamed of his past after moving to America. The resilient coach learned it has refined him. He pursues things people say he can't. Being told he was too small for basketball and football made him want to play those more. Royce worked hard to learn English. He earned a scholarship to an American university. The Coaches podcast provides his mentorship and advice from other experts.

Nick Nash joins Royce to teach successful coaches how to maintain energy. He recommends "cup fillers." Nick says he's reactive and not responsive in his coaching practice when his cup is empty. He reveals seven things he does daily. Cold showers, meditation, bed-making, burpees, and breathing are non-negotiable. Nick's other two cup fillers depend on his mood. He might play guitar or practice 100 golf strokes. Nick and Royce agree that they burn out when they disperse all their energy to their clients.

Entrepreneur Brian Eller reveals how he shrunk his 90-hour workweek to four hours. Brian had to unlearn his blue-collar, workaholic philosophy. He works "on" instead of "in" his business. Royce and his wife also share secrets, including three habits they wish they started earlier.
