In this episode, we will rehistoricize the evolution of the Graphic Novel. The major differences in defining a comics from a graphic novel truly go beyond the backdrops of its academic contentions, commercial behaviors, its self-consciousness of possessing a unique aestheticism, as well as the self-awareness of its own geopolitical position to the global comics market across different languages and cultures; but rather, in attempting to define such a visual story-telling genre, we will truly find ourselves an amazing adventure with its breath-taking evolution.
