Sam Sethi is setting out on his biggest adventure yet. The host of Podnews Weekly Review and former programmer at Windows and Netscape, is launching Podfans; part of a new wave of podcast apps you can find here on the Podnews website.

Over the last few years, podcast shows like Podnews, Pocasting 2.0 with Adam Curry and Dave Jones, and shortly after The New Media Show with Rob Greenlee and Todd Cochrane, began to talk about ways to improve the technology involved with podcast delivery. Think of things like sending money straight to the host or evenly amongst hosts, being able to follow along with captions, listening live when the show goes live, listening to podcasts created in your neighbourhood, and chapter markers so you don't have to scan every 15 or seconds for the part of the show you are looking for.
