In the Coast to Coast PM podcast, a believer and a skeptic discuss outrageous theories. Chris and Paul are brothers who grew up in the same household. However, they developed different perspectives on life.
Chris loves watching Ancient Aliens and the late-night History Channel lineup. He believes there's more to this world than people can see, which includes ghosts, witches, and more. Paul has the opposite worldview. He's a man of science, needing facts and proof to accept any hypotheses. He believes there's a logical explanation for any weird phenomenon.
On the podcast, the brothers debate to try to change each other's minds. They examine theories they've heard on the Coast to Coast AM radio show. The paranormal news radio show, created by Art Bell, began airing in the 1980s. It became popular in the 1990s. People would call between midnight and 4 a.m., talking about Bigfoot, magic, UFOs, and more. There was no call screening, which often led to wild, unbelievable stories. For instance, a woman claimed to be a Satanist in one of the classic episodes. She believed Jesus had died for the sins of humankind. But she claimed Satan was the other part of that equation, and she chose to worship him. During that show, multiple witches called in to confront that woman.
On a different episode, Travis Walton shared the infamous alien abduction story portrayed in the film Fire in the Sky. That's the kind of content Chris and Paul discuss on their podcast. They recap the radio program and add analysis and opinions from opposing beliefs.
Topics on the Coast to Coast PM podcast include haunted dolls and the science of numerology. The hosts discuss Sasquatch sightings, flat Earth theory, and climate change deniers. While Chris and Paul have assigned roles, sometimes the tales are so absurd that they both become skeptics. Either way, the conversations are fun and educational. The brothers have great banter and chemistry on the podcast. New episodes come out weekly and last about one hour.
