On June 24, 2014, atheist philosopher Evan Fales (University of Iowa) and Mike Licona (Houston Baptist University) debated the question of whether Jesus rose from the dead.
This debate is in 4-parts. This is Part 1 and is a 30-minute lecture by Licona on whether historians can investigate miracle claims followed by 30-minutes of audience Q&A. The debate took place at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN. There were approximately 20 audience members, all of whom had been selected. Almost all them had PhD's and teaching positions at major universities in the U.S. and Canada.
