As this podcast goes to air  we have moved through Thanksgiving and officially, if we haven't already said that in the holiday season.  I am traveling. I had the great honor of traveling out to Seattle to be with my family. I usually am the one to host Thanksgiving. It's always been my holiday. The kids come to me or I used to go to my parents during Thanksgiving. But this year, we changed it up. I let my son do the cooking out in his new home out in Seattle. Him and his wife and my daughter joined us as well.  You know, it's really great when we can allow for changing and shifting and open up to the flow of life. So often we get stuck in our patterns and our habits.  And we don't want to change. We want that tradition no matter what. But what a great way to make new memories, new possibilities that come in. And traveling is a great way to get a wider perspective. I mean, that's actually the energy of what we're in right now. Sagittarius. Explore.  Challenge yourself. Open up your horizons. And for me, I know it always makes me get a, have a time for reflection. Reflect, reflect on what's going on. Where I'm coming from. Reflect on what I'm doing. Open up and allow the purpose of who I am just to keep growing and allowing and shifting and changing. In this episode today, I want to continue talking about the Akashic Realm and all the amazing things that we can learn from it and why I choose to teach it and not just offer it. Very often people come to me for the idea of like, what is my Soul Purpose? I don't know what I'm here for. And many times that is a very good reason why people want to open up their records and want to ask this question because our Soul does travel from lifetime to lifetime, with this deep inherent Soul Purpose of who we are. Now, our Life Purpose can change and shift, and many times people confuse Life Purpose from Soul Purpose. Soul Purpose isn’t about doing; it’s about being. Your Soul Purpose is to be more in alignment with who you truly are. Be connected. Be compassion. How you express this beingness is the key to “living your life purpose”. The doing aspect is only one part of how you express and experience your soul self. If you are unhappy in your job, or in your life, the real reason for that is usually that you aren’t listening to your soul’s voice. Your soul is constantly conveying how to be more in alignment with your Soul Purpose, and how you express this is through beingness, not what you are doing. You express your beingness by being what you want to see in the world. Because your Soul’s purpose is something you’ve been doing over many, many lifetimes, discovering your purpose is one of the best uses and reasons for accessing the Akashic Records. Each person is here on this earth at this very time for a reason. Seekers yearn to experience firsthand what that entails and the knowledge and self-understanding you’ll receive in these next exercises are designed to do just that. Many times we get hung up on what our purpose is and create lots of unnecessary stress over it. I like to start with the idea for you to look at what really makes you happy? What do you enjoy? What carries through in your life from early on.. before all the adulting. Our Soul Purpose continues.. it’s our Life Purpose that can change. I’ve had many jobs building my career… yet all in the arts, performing arts, jewelry arts, healing arts. My purpose aligns with these through the work of my soul as an Artist of the Spirit. As this podcast goes to air we find ourselves moving in the holiday season and the final weeks of Fall.  Cosmically we have entered into the last Mercury Retrograde of this year in the sign of Sagittarius. It’s an interesting one for sure. It lasts until the middle of December. What this comes down to is that your perspective can shift… you may feel confused.. however.. this will require you to detach a little… come back into yourself.. taking time to slow down and review your year will be critical.  Staying open to messages from your guides and higher self is important. This sign teaches us that life is a continuous learning experience, with everyone we encounter serving as our teacher. It reminds us that our journey is about gathering experiences and sometimes experiencing leaps of faith to acquire the knowledge necessary for our evolution. The full moon is on Tuesday, September 17th, at 9:34 p.m. in the sign of Pisces. Deep and sensitive, it carries significant energy, often associated with emotional release, intuition, and spirituality. Full moons are moments of culmination and clarity, while eclipses tend to bring about sudden changes, revelations, or endings. During this particular event, the Pisces influence enhances themes related to dreams, creativity, compassion, and emotional depth. Individuals may experience heightened sensitivity, making it a potent time for introspection and healing. It can also encourage letting go of past emotional baggage and adopting a more intuitive approach to life. This energy may manifest in various ways, including the resolution of emotional issues, increased creativity, and a deeper connection to one's spiritual path. One of the things I learned from this “adventure” was the worth that I bring to myself and to my community. Once I understood that, everything shifted. I found myself grounded in my soul and ready to harvest all my teachings and step forward in renewed faith for this new season. What is it for you? What energy drain takes you away from valuing your energy, time, and light? In a recent quiz, The Dark Side of Energy Drains, the #1 drain was the people-pleaser, followed by a close second to the wandering soul, and then the martyr. People pleasing can have several downsides, especially if you don't have good energy boundaries" 1. Loss of Authenticity: Constantly trying to meet others' expectations can lead to a loss of self-identity and authenticity. Individuals may neglect their own needs and desires to gain approval. 2. Emotional Exhaustion: Trying to please everyone can be mentally and emotionally draining, leading to burnout, anxiety, and stress. 3. Resentment: Over time, people-pleasers may feel resentment towards those they aim to please, as they might feel their efforts are unappreciated or taken for granted. 4. Difficulty Setting Boundaries: People pleasers often struggle to set healthy boundaries, which can lead to being taken advantage of or overwhelmed by commitments. And more.. I went out there for two reasons, one was to visit a retreat facility.. hint hint .. MAster retreat in 2025. This is our last Full Moon before Eclipse Season begins, and you may feel the intensity rising. Eclipse Season is always a highly transformative time, and it seems like this Full Moon is planting the seeds of change.You may feel the unsettling energy flowing in, but it seems that the Universe is not ready for you  to land just yet. It can always be unsettling to be in a state of limbo or in the process of change, but one thing you can come back to under this Full Moon is the idea of flow. This is your time to flow with what is coming up, rather than trying to control. This Full Moon really wants all of us to surrender,  to just be present in whatever is showing up for you in your world.  Uranus, the natural ruler of Aquarius, is also active under this Full Moon, adding to the insecurity we may be feeling. When Uranus is active along with the Moon, we can feel irrational, moody, and caught off-guard. The presence of Uranus also indicates some surprise or wildcard energy that you perhaps didn’t see coming. Things may turn in an unexpected direction or you may receive some information that shocks you. Uranus can also trigger what is weak, revealing what is no longer stable or working in your life. So definitely a time to stay true to your spiritual practice, to ground your energy and work with what I call the RITES for your everyday life… reiki, intuition, tarot eft and stones and crystals.. Visit ritualshelter.com to book an appointment and bring peace back to the body, mind, and spirit.    It’s been an unexpectedly intense week.  How perfect that the topic of today’s episode is about spiritual, cultural, and the ancestral aspects of aging and dying.  I lost a dear friend who was like an adoptive mother to me.  My life went on pause.. no podcast.. no blog.  Many people don’t know this about me.. part of the work I do is in helping the soul through the transition into death, preparing the body for burial and helping the family as well.  When it is someone close to you, the work can be harder. Although it does hold great honor to serve at this stage of life. So I took the week to offer the rituals, the ceremony, to help the family, and to mourn. My Aunt Micky as she was know to the entire community, also left me a gift, a gift in the reflection of my work back to me and how important it is for me to talk about this work and bring the conversation forward. We are at a time in humanity that is asking us to understand this cycle of life for death is a part of it. As we discuss in this episode, how we live is how we die. Having a spiritual practice can help you throughout your life to understand your soul, how you work through traumas, and what you choose to carry forward. The landscape was beautuiful, the native american dance at the cochciiti peublo were very inspiriting .. all their dedication to rituals and family was inspiriing.  A huge shout out to Kate Jenkins for her stamina and focus… it was hot!   I checked out a retreat venue.. the Ojo which .. yes.. We are in the dog days of summer… Cancer Season is all about slowing down long enough to feel the emotions we have conveniently avoided until now. It’s a time to be patient with ourselves, to receive soul nourishment, and to feel safe in the face of our own emotions. Cancer’s energy represents many things. At the heart of it is the foundation for healing. Cancer teaches us to heal, restore, and replenish ourselves. To gain these gifts, we must be willing to feel. Feeling is the foundation for everything else Cancer’s energy provides us. We must feel to hear our intuition. We must feel to help others. We must feel to grow into the next version of ourselves. Feeling is the starting point for much of what we want to manifest. The feeling encouraged by Cancer’s energy is raw, untamed, and primal. It’s the kind of feeling that makes you scream with joy and rage. Or cry for hours with no reason why. This type of feeling does not ask why or look for points of origin. It just occurs. It comes from deep within, and we might not even know what it’s about. That’s ok though. Cancer just wants us to feel. We don’t need to write a story about our feelings or explain their occurrence. We don’t need to fix them or make them go away. We just need to be present with them.
