There are many things in life we can ask God for, but the Bible urges us to seek wisdom above all things. On this month’s podcast episode of If You Really Knew Me Ben and Kim discuss all the wonderful ways God’s wisdom is displayed through His children and how we can glean from each other.BIBLE VERSES:1 Kings 3:9 AMPSo give your servant an understanding mind (wisdom) and a hearing heart with which to judge your people, so that I may discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge and rule this great people of Yours?James 1:5 ESVIf any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.James 3:17 ESVBut the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere.Proverbs 3:13 - 18 ESVBlessed is the one who finds wisdom, and the one who gets understanding, for the gain from her is better than gain from silver and her profit better than gold. She is more precious than jewels, and nothing you desire can compare with her. Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor. Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace. ...Proverbs 1:7 ESVThe fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction.Romans 11:33 NLTOh, how great are God’s riches and wisdom and knowledge! Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 8:38-39).2. I say (or have said) I am scarred but God says I am healed.“But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed” (Isaiah 53:5).3. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure” (Ephesians 1:5).6. I say I am purposeless, but God says I was created with purpose.“Perhaps this is the moment for which you’ve been created” (Esther 4:14).11. I say I am worried, anxious, or afraid, but God says with Him I am peace-filled.“Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid” (John 14:27).14. I say I am unhappy, but God says I am joyful/joy-filled.“I have told you these things so that you will be filled with my joy. Yes, your joy will overflow!” (John 15:11)15. I say I am nothing special, but God says I am fearfully and wonderfully made.“I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well” (Psalm 139:14).17. Episode 18 – People of the Same Type Can Look Different - Part 1 - WINGS
Do you ever wonder how people of the same Enneagram type can look so different? This is due to a variety of things: Levels of health or alignment with The Gospel (refer to episode 12); our Enneagram Wings; and our subtype. In this episode host Kim Willey and Certified Enneagram Coach, Ben Sorrells will be discussing WINGS. Each Enneagram type has two adjacent wings that we use to influence our personality and behavior.Wings are the personality types on either side of the main type. One of those adjacent wings is more dominant than the other. We can choose the healthy side of our wings to help enhance our main type and guard against blindspots we may not see.Would you like to have YOUR question answered and maybe even featured on a future episode? Submit your enneagram question toben@wearethebridge.orgIf you find this information helpful to you, SUBSCRIBE and journey with us.If you’re not sure where to start but want to know more, refer to Ep 2 - The Enneagram ExplainedInfo credit: Beth McCord (Your Enneagram Coach)Hosts: Kim Willey and Ben SorrellsBen is a Certified Enneagram Coach through YEC and Beth McCordHelpful Links:Discover your Enneagram Type: Here's one that we like!
