Interview with Josh Lovelace of NEEDTOBREATHE and Young Folk
We had the pleasure of interviewing Josh Lovelace of Young Folk and NEEDTOBREATHE over Zoom video. Moonwalking, Young Folk’s (aka Josh Lovelace) third release, is a modern pop infused take on his unique brand of family style Americana. The album features ten brand new songs created to spark imagination and happiness. Lovelace, a member of the Grammy nominated rock band NEEDTOBREATHE, released his debut family album Young Folk in 2017 and followed that with the rave reviewed Growing Up in 2019. After five years of creating a unique space in the kids and family scene, this will be his first release under the moniker Young Folk. A lifelong appreciator of kid’s music, on Moonwalking he illustrates why it’s more important than ever to create a space where thoughtful content is being made just for today’s youth. Young Folk sets out to provide a warm and welcoming place for families to connect, unwind, laugh and enjoy each other. After spending more time at home and less on the road these past couple years, Lovelace was blessed with the opportunity be fully immersed in his family life, inspiring this collection. These new songs come from those real life moments where you slow down, take a look around and see the world through your child’s eyes. Both tender and sometimes silly, it’s a slice of life captured in memorable songs and relatable lyrics all delivered with his kind and gentle voice. Self-produced and recorded in his studio in Knoxville, Tennessee, Moonwalking provides a perfect playlist for family time. About Young Folk: Josh Lovelace (aka Young Folk), singer-songwriter and member of the Grammy nominated rock band NEEDTOBREATHE, released his first family album Young Folk in 2017 followed by Growing Up in 2019. His albums have received Parents’ Choice and NAPPA awards and he has been a featured at NPR, Billboard, Southern Living, Paste, Parade, Huff Post as well as many other national and local news outlets. Interview with Jonah Matranga of onelinedrawing and Far
We had the pleasure of interviewing Jonah Matranga over Zoom video. Jonah Matranga is no stranger to the scene. He has been making music for over 30 years and has become somewhat of an institution. A prolific artist who is full of ideas and he straddles the line between the underground and the mainstream cusp, Matranga has fronted the bands FAR, NEW END ORIGINAL, and GRATITUDE, and has worked with indie labels like Jade Tree to majors such as Atlantic. His music has been noted as influencing many notable bands ranging from Deftones to Blink-182. Simply put, there is no one quite like Jonah Matranga. Throughout his long career, he has always written from the heart and performed in an intimate way that few others have accomplished like he has, after playing almost 4,000 shows. From basements to massive festivals, he brings the same energy with him — a devoted fanbase, raw honesty, and an interest in making every show unique and personal. This has always been the most apparent in Matranga's solo and collaborative project performing as onelinedrawing. Jonah's performance as onelinedrawing has always been about connecting with fans in an intimate setting, where he often performed with only his guitar and his R2D2 sidekick. Tenderwild marks the return of onelinedrawing, which is the first time since 2004's The Volunteers (Jade Tree) that Jonah has used the moniker. This album brought together so many friends and fellow musicians that it only felt right to release it as onelinedrawing. Tenderwild is an uplifting journey that was written and inspired during a chaotic time of healing for Matranga. Contrasting between guitar driven rock songs and heartfelt intense ballads, Tenderwild is a collection of some of the best songs Jonah has ever written. The album features guest appearances from many of Matranga's close friends, such as: Zach Lind (Jimmy Eat World), Jeremy Tappero (Soul Asylum), Norman Brannon (Texas Is The Reason), Chris Carrabba (Dashboard Confessional), John Gutenberger (Far), and Jake Snider (Minus The Bear). Tenderwild is an expansive and special album that has something for everyone. We want to hear from you! Interview with grandma
We had the pleasure of interviewing grandma over Zoom video. Following his April single “I Met God Online,” genre-bending alternative artist grandma releases “Blue Atlanta,” a dreamy ode to darkness and disengagement. grandma also announces his next EP, “Angelhood” today, which is set for a July 15th release. “Blue Atlanta is about the imaginative avenues I created at a time of extreme loss. When I began to hate my environment and my inner world grew dull all I could do was detach. The video is about unfolding and breaking away from the life I created that caused me so much pain. Whether it was friends dying to addiction or suicide I just felt the light went dimmer and dimmer,” says grandma of the track. “I Met God Online,” released last month, chronicles the nonlinear nature of love in the digital age—failed talking stages, psychosexual pining, miscommunication and vibe shifts— intertwined with a fascinating strain of theism. ”I Met God Online” is about people’s fascination with internet esotericism,” says grandma. “A meditation on how someone’s life and internet presence can amorphously become someone else’s religion, obsession, or gospel.” Hailed by Highsnobiety for “crafting music that pushes the notion of genre experimentation and fusion to unimaginably innovative heights,” grandma – a.k.a. multi-instrumentalist/producer Liam Hall – has earned applause for his fascinating amalgam of bedroom hip-hop, raw funk, alternative R&B, and lo-fi pop, showcased on 2019’s debut mixtape, Even If We Don’t Get It Together. The project – which features such groundbreaking tracks as “Stomp and Grind (Feat. Rico Nasty),” “Downtown Life,” and “Shallow Water,” – was followed in 2020 by an extensive string of chameleonic singles, including “Everybody’s On Their Phone,” which was featured on SiriusXM Alt Nation’s Advanced Placement and described by PAPER Magazine as a “reassuring and observant new song”, and “Virtually Anything,” an acclaimed collaboration with anti-pop star sophie meiers which earned acclaim from Nuance Magazine as “an extremely enticing track that is a must listen for any alternative/R&B fans.” Known throughout Atlanta’s pop and hip-hop scenes for his skills as a singer, songwriter, musician, producer, programmer, arranger, and visual artist, grandma has received a wide range of media attention, with Pigeons & Planes naming him “Best New Artist of the Month” and A1234 declaring, “grandma, I have no doubt, will soon be the soundtrack to many people’s adolescence as his genre-defying talent speaks to a whole new generation of music lovers.” The preternaturally talented polymath maintained a steady flow of tracks through 2020, including “Chills,” “Bested,” and “Growing Up Is Strange”. Now grandma is poised to push his distinctive brand of personal pop ever higher, reaching heavenward with a one-of-a-kind sound and vision unlike any other. Expect more music from this new chapter soon. We want to hear from you! Interview with Erika Ender
We had the pleasure of interviewing Erika Ender over Zoom video. Panamanian singer, songwriter, producer, communicator, and philanthropist Erika Ender is celebrating 30 years in the business by sharing a video for her breath-taking version of “Abrázame,” a song from her ambitious MP3-45 album. The visual functions as a salute of her past while looking into the future, as we see her vision of a romantic vintage era delivered in her unique style. Originally by Julio Iglesias, Ender picked “Abrázame” as one of the three cover versions that makes up the Side B portion of her album MP3-45; produced by Moogie Canazio, this selection is a way of acknowledging some of the music that made an impact on her as a young person. Although Ender has excelled as a songwriter for most of her career, we now focus on her performing abilities which are just as impressive, taking the broken-hearted feelings of the lyrics and delivering them with poise and subtleness. Of her choice, Ender says, “When I was about two years old, I used to refer to Julio Iglesias as ‘Mi Novio’. I wasn’t supposed to be playing vinyl records myself, because I would scratch them—but I did anyway.” Her admiration for the crooner shines through on her version. Erika Ender is an artist that is hard to pigeonhole yet there’s one thing that shines through all her different facets—her big-hearted emotions. As a songwriter, she has more than 200 albums under her belt and more than 40 top singles; perhaps her biggest achievement was co-writing “Despacito,” the chart-smashing hit that managed to stay a record number 16 weeks on the number one spot of the Billboard Hot 100, earning Ender awards, accolades, and nominations to some of the biggest recognitions from the industry, including Latin Grammys for Record of the Year and Song of the Year, as well as nominations at the 2018 Grammys, making her the only Latina woman to be nominated for Record and Song of the Year. She has also written hit singles for the likes of Marc Anthony, Jenni Rivera, Los Tigres Del Norte, Chayanne, and many others. As a solo artist, she has been releasing albums since 2007’s Ábreme La Puerta, making the top of the Billboard Latin charts with some of her own hits. Released in 2020, MP3-45 is composed of six original songs and three covers. Along with “Abrázame,” there’s also “When I Fall In Love” by Nat King Cole and “Só Louco” by Gal Costa. With this, Erika Ender delivers a part of her history with a hint of what’s to come. We want to hear from you! Interview with Doe Paoro
We had the pleasure of interviewing Doe Paoro over Zoom video. Nothing stays still forever, the spirit of nature growing upward towards something greater. Fueled by that understanding, Doe Paoro has spent much of the last year deep in the Costa Rican jungle, exploring ways that music could activate deeper consciousness. Today, the musician, born Sonia Kreitzer, recently released her new EP Divine Surrendering. By deepening her connection with rituals like sound baths, psilocybin ceremonies, and the healing power of music, Paoro’s latest work allowed her to entrust in music’s potential to be a wellspring of uplift in the midst of gossamer beauty. Interview with The Hics

Interview with The Hics
We had the pleasure of interviewing The Hics over Zoom video. After rousing fans both old and new with their comeback last year, London-based multi-hyphenate duo The Hics return with their eagerly anticipated new EP HARMINE, out now on EMPIRE. A five track release conceived during the last 5 years and pieced together during the global pandemic, HARMINE opens with ‘Caught In A Lie’, a deeply personal track first released as a single back in October 2021. The pair describe it as “not knowing what you’ve got until it’s gone.” A similar ethos permeates tracks like ‘Tell Me’, a sombre ballad delivered from the heart; ‘On You’, an ode to overcoming life’s challenges; and ‘Float’, an unmistakably wistful vibe of a song. ‘Reprise’ is the project’s closer, and it’s an intricate piece of nu-soul that ensures things finish on a poignant note. “The EP is like diary extracts,” The Hics explain. “Tales, reflections and experiences of early-to-mid-20s heartbreak, loss and interpersonal relationships.” The full EP release follows on from the duo’s official return last year, which came in the form of two staggered single releases in October and November; ‘Caught In A Lie’ and ‘Reprise’. Surrendering to their newfound creativity and channeling this energy through more than one outlet, the duo partnered with fellow creative and friend Spike Silverton to create respective DIY music visuals for both singles, filmed on a mini DV camera that they purchased. The Hics recently released the music video for the single, “On You”. A long awaited follow-up to their 2013 debut EP TANGLE, HARMINE is The Hics’ first release since they took an extended hiatus over the last few years. With their artistic journey at a crossroads, The Hics’ musical destiny changed with an unlikely direct message on Twitter. After hearing ‘Cold Air’ while playing a marathon session of Grand Theft Auto V, Dreamville’s Bas instantly fell in love with the duo and reached out in hopes of connecting and creating music. A week of collaboration in London would yield two classic songs on Bas’ critically-acclaimed album Too High To Riot. These records laid the groundwork for The Hics to enter a new creative space as a duo, as they toured the world with the Dreamville family as a supporting act on the Too High To Riot tour. As The Hics explored and developed their musical passion, they developed a close bond with NYC creative collective The FIENDS. After years away from music, The Hics have reclaimed their art and have found their voice and crafted a cohesive, timeless piece of work with HARMINE, which kicks off the beginning of their new chapter. Interview with The Unlikely Candidates
We had the pleasure of interviewing The Unlikely Candidates over Zoom video. Coming off their multi-city tour with legendary band 311, The Unlikely Candidates were welcomed home with open arms as fans and Fort Worth residents listened to new and fan-favorite music from their album. The party included performances from the band, a specialty drink, raffles, and a champagne toast to celebrate this milestone. “Panther Island,” which features 8 new and 3 previously released songs, was written over Zoom during the COVID-19 pandemic including “High Low,” which was recorded in lead singer Kyle Morris’ closet. “The record is a kaleidoscopic landscape of genre and style that changes from song to song, a greatest hits of the sonic worlds the band has inhabited over the years,” says Morris. “Thematically it’s just as varied, shifting from songs about the chaos on the streets and loneliness behind the phone screens of America during the pandemic, to humorous tales of twenty-something malaise and the many ways the heart breaks; when love or loved ones are lost. At the heart of this album is the ethos of taking a bad situation and making something of it. It was written during the pandemic while the world was shut down, by a band who has hit enough roadblocks to delay a debut album nine years.” Following the release of their album, The Unlikely Candidates are going back on the road, making stops in the Midwest, the Mountain States, and Canada. All upcoming tour dates can be found here. TUC has previously toured with Fall Out Boy, The Dirty Heads, and Sublime with Rome, just to name a few. “Its been an honor working with The Unlikely Candidates and I am so very proud for them to release their first full length album,” said Ryan Metheny, Director of Product Management at The Orchard. “After so many ups and downs over the last few years, they continue to blow me away with how hard they work and get through any roadblock put in front of them. It will be a great joy to see them play these songs in front of their fans this summer.” Signed to Another Century, a subsidiary of Sony Music, The Unlikely Candidates are best known for their 2019 hit “Novocaine,” which reached #1 on the Alternative Charts. The song was also featured in the Season 4 trailer of HULU's Veronica Mars, and on Now That’s What I Call Music, with The music video becoming the #6 most viewed Alternative video of 2019 on VEVO. Interview with Riley Pearce
We had the pleasure of interviewing Riley Pearce over Zoom video. An introspective singer-songwriter, Riley Pearce often writes about his difficulty coping with change and his love-hate relationship with nostalgia. With family spread across the globe and his own stretches of living in a number of different cities, Riley’s lyrics reflect that all too human need for connection. His honest songwriting and relatable storytelling has resonated both in Australia and overseas, with over 60 million streams to date. An in-demand live touring artist, Riley has sold out headline shows around the world and supported the likes of Lord Huron, Tash Sultana, Lifehouse, The Paper Kitesand Lucy Rose. For his EP” Love and All That Stuff”, Riley steps out of his comfort zone and showcases a different style with a 5-track collection of love songs. ‘This EP is all about journeying through life alongside someone you love, the ups and downs of a relationship, constantly trying to improve yourself for them, planning a future together, and letting someone eat the last chip because you know they’d appreciate it.’ After a long lockdown in Melbourne, Riley moved back to his hometown of Perth with his long-term girlfriend and their new puppy. Exploring the theme of love properly for the first time was a big step for Riley. “I hope people really connect with the EP, and that they don’t cry too much. And if this EP puts me in the good books with my partner, well that would be a nice bonus.” We want to hear from you! Interview with Yours Truly

Interview with Yours Truly
We had the pleasure of interviewing Yours Truly over Zoom video! Alternative bright lights Yours Truly have unveiled their new single and music video “Lights On.” At just shy of three minutes long, 'Lights On' is fiery and to-the-point, while sticking around long enough to firmly cement itself in the listener's head. Fans can check out the music video now at and stream the track at About Yours Truly: Australia’s Yours Truly are 2022’s must-watch in the alternative scene. Huge international touring credits, media and radio trailblazing and a burgeoning brood of fans are just some of the successes that back this band, but it’s the knack for punchy songwriting and performance deep in their DNA that makes this four-piece really tick. From their hometown in Sydney, Yours Truly first broke out with their 2019 EP Afterglow (hear its standout singles “Circles” and “High Hopes”) and went on to spend the rest of the year gracing stages including Download UK, Riot Fest, and Good Things and supporting rock heroes including Sum 41 and State Champs on their international quests. In 2020 the band followed with their full-length Self Care, which saw the band awarded a laundry list of accolades including triple j’s Feature Album and Tone Deaf’s Record Of The Week, alongside band nominations for Rolling Stone’s ‘Best New Artist’ and ‘Best International Breakthrough Band’ at the UK Heavy Awards. Following the arrival of their urgent, pulsing and frustration-filled single “Walk Over My Grave” in the latter half of 2021, 2022 finds the group stepping into a new era with the unveiling of “Lights On”. Interview with The Wrecks (The Wrecks Return!)
Jun 22 2022
Interview with The Wrecks (The Wrecks Return!)
We had the pleasure of interviewing The Wrecks over Zoom video. The Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows by John Koenig which defines made up words for indescribable emotions classifies the neologism “sonder” as the “profound feeling of realizing that everyone, including strangers passing in the street, has a life as complex as one’s own." The Wreck's vocalist/producer Nick Anderson landed on "Sonder" as the title of their sophomore album, which is out now via Big Noise Music Group. The band’s most recent singles, the sparkling post-breakup anthem “Lone Survivor” and liberating alt-rock track “I Love This Part,” showcase that they’ve fully honed-in on and embraced their characteristic genre bending alt-rock, as well as having evolved and matured their sounds for this triumphal venture of a second album. Anderson says that experimenting with minor keys and calculated lyrics. On Sonder, there’s not only their distinctive witty, frantic genre-bending tracks (“Sonder,” “Don’t Be Scared,” “Unholy,” “Ugly Side”), but also their take on mesmerizing alt-rock love/loss ballads (“Where Are You Now?,” “Dystopia,” “Unrequited,” “No Place I’d Rather Be,” “Normal”). Sonder follows the release of the band’s 2016 debut EP We Are The Wrecks (their first single “Favorite Liar” currently has 36 million+ streams on Spotify), their 2018 Panic Vertigo EP, their 2020 Static EP as well as their 2020 debut LP Infinitely Ordinary (58 million+ streams on Spotify). The Wrecks continue to rack up the massive fan base that has already given their top five singles on Spotify over 80 million listens. Poised for a wide-open road ahead of them, Nick Anderson and The Wrecks continue to charge into the limelight. Not too shabby for a kid from Wellsville, just two hours south of nowhere. The Wrecks begun as vocalist/producer Nick Anderson’s sole endeavor and has since been rounded out by Aaron Kelley (bass), Nick “Schmizz” Schmidt (guitar) and Billy Nally (drums). The Wrecks also collaborated on a select number of tracks off Sonder with producers Westen Weiss (Meek Mill, Camila Cabello, Post Malone) and Dillon Deskin (Flo Rida, Will Sparks, Different Heaven, Myrne) to expand their sound. Interview with Future Palace

Interview with Future Palace
We had the pleasure of interviewing Future Palace over Zoom video. Future Palace just released their brand new album “Run” via Arising Empire and have shared the video for "Dead Inside”. The song appears on the band's sophomore album Run. Get the album, which has been receiving increased attention from radio and press, such as SiriusXM, Idobi, American Songwriter, Bringin' It Backwards, A&P Reacts, Good Noise, and more, here. The release comes in CD, limited colored vinyl, and bundle formats. "Dead Inside" is about the aftershocks from a toxic relationship that not only left its mark in the past, but also raises the question of how to deal with it after the fact. "At the beginning of 'Dead Inside,' there was the personal experience that there are people who justify their behavior by saying that they are irrevocably and emotionally cold," says guitarist Manuel. "The track deals with a sometimes tragic situation both — lyrically and instrumentally. It reflects inner turmoil, helplessness, and anger at the same time." "Dead Inside" is the kind of song that begs to be played live, as well. "The new songs not only sound different," he continues. "They also came from different feelings. We are therefore particularly looking forward to the live shows — because capturing these feelings in music is one thing. Being able to share and express them directly is another." This is music that wants to be heard and felt — always and everywhere. For the music video, Future Palace worked with Peter Leukhardt (Annisokay, Beyond the Black, and Rising Insane.) Run was produced by Julian Breucker and Annisokay guitarist Christoph Wieczorek, who also mixed and mastered the record. The album explores the aftermath of a toxic relationship in a stunning and vulnerable way. The struggle with one's own salvation is only the beginning — even after escaping from a tough situation. The band sets these painful processes to music in dramatic post-hardcore fashion, which atmospherically reproduces the ups and downs of emotions. Kindred sonic spirits are Holding Absence, Spiritbox, While She Sleeps, Bring Me The Horizon, and Pvris. Future Palace released their debut Escape via Arising Empire and have since accumulated several million streams across streaming platforms. We want to hear from you! Interview with Nick Mulvey

Interview with Nick Mulvey
We had the pleasure of interviewing Nick Mulvey over Zoom video. New Mythology is the third album from Mercury Prize-nominated artist Nick Mulvey and his first in 5 years. Out today on Verve Forecast (Fiction Records in the UK), the record was recorded in Paris with renowned producer Renaud Letang (Manu Chao, Feist, Connan Mockasin) and is a stunning 13 track collection brimming with Nick’s innate musicality and insatiable curiosity about the connection between humans and the planet we live on. The album was featured this morning on NPR’s New Music Friday, with Robin Hilton saying It might be my favorite record of the week…almost like living room recordings that start very quiet but then they’ll bloom in these beautiful ways." “The Gift” was also just featured as a Song of the Day on KUTX and Mulvey’s interview with Variance Magazine ran yesterday. Journeys come in a myriad of forms. Nick Mulvey knows this, he’s been on many since he released his sophomore album Wake Up Now. Be it a change in geographical scenery – a physical move of home from the UK to Ibiza, and back – to the sea-sawing wonder and vulnerability of the everyday human experience; in this case becoming a father and navigating the pandemic. Most pertinent though, when it comes to his powerful songwriting, has been his journey to compute the scope and scale of his feelings: an attempt to embody the personal all the way to the planetary – and grasp their true inseparability. Nick Mulvey has come a long way since the release of his critically acclaimed debut album First Mind in 2014. A musician, composer and producer, he has amassed a staggering 587 million streams globally, the equivalent of half a million albums sold and has completely sold out his first headline UK tour since before the pandemic, including his headline show at London’s Koko. Interview with Louis Knight
We had the pleasure of interviewing Louis Knight over Zoom video. Singer/Songwriter Louis Knight is ready to heat up the charts with his new heartfelt single “Burn This All Down.” The single was released along with a must-watch fiery music video. “Burn This All Down” details Louis’ personal journey over the past couple of years, taking a step back from his love of music during the height of the pandemic due to the difficulty of the industry highs and lows. After feeling lost and consumed by fear, Louis was able to find his niche sound and rebuild himself from the ground up as the one-of-a-kind artist he was truly meant to be. The new song marks the first page of Louis’ next chapter of music: an emotionally charged 6-track EP to be released later this year. The British-born, Philadelphia-raised, and currently LA-based music artist began his musical journey as a Top 7 finalist on Season 18 of ABC’s American Idol. After wowing the judges each week with his gut-wrenching vocals and lyrical storytelling capabilities, Louis was brought back as a Comeback Contestant for Season 19 where he made it to the Top 12. She first sparked attention by having many songs featured on TV shows, such as ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy,” The CW’s “Charmed,” MTV’s “Siesta Key,” and more. The gifted singer-songwriter has further written songs for other prominent artists (Lucie Silvas, Jill Andrews) and has toured the country as a professional keyboard player and background singer (Carly Pearce). ‍ No stranger to the stage, Elise Hayes has been performing since the age of 12. She attended the esteemed Berklee College of Music, and soon after graduating, relocated to Nashville to pursue a career as an artist and a songwriter. “My journey in the music industry has been quite eclectic. I’ve accomplished many things that I’m incredibly proud of, and a lot of that has to do with the many hats I’ve been able to wear. Wether it’s been producing, touring, or recording, I’ve really diversified myself as a musician which reaches back to my artistry in a really beautiful way. I feel more empowered as an artist because of the skills I’ve picked up along the way.” ‍ Having garnered critical acclaim, airplay on SiriusXM, major Spotify playlist placements, and features on national television with her previous singles “Giving Up,” “Float,” and “Breathe,” Elise is ready to pick up where she left off with the release of her self-produced EP, “Human Heart", coming out in May. Interview with Ethan Jewell
We had the pleasure of interviewing Ethan Jewell over Zoom video. Ethan Jewell’s raw and emotional poetry is guaranteed to pull at your heartstrings. At only 19 years old, Ethan is pioneering his way through a new genre, which he likes to call “Musical Poetry”. With elegant, carefully chosen words that blend perfectly with the delicate sound of his piano, Ethan aims to ignite intense emotion in anyone who dares to listen. Ethan is still new to all of this- releasing his first songs only months after starting his Tiktok account in late 2019, he found inspiration to create in the people who took the time to listen and connect. Hardly two months after he began posting on the platform, his song “Bouquet” went viral- with the original video boasting 5 million+ views and the track at 4 million streams on Spotify and counting. A passionate advocate for mental health awareness, Ethan has worked to create a space for others to share and understand their emotions- even when it’s difficult to do so. “I simply want people to understand that they must feel their feelings, no matter how uncomfortable that may be” Ethan is super excited to share his new single,"Why Am I Not Better". Here's what he had to say about it: "When I began making music several years ago, I also began my journey of mental health recovery. The difficult part about recovery is that it is often hard to see the progress you've made. I found myself asking, over and over again, “Why am I not better?”. After dealing with this frustration for months, I finally decided to turn it into art and create this song". We want to hear from you! With the streets of New York City as the backdrop, Quarters of Change took fans on a journey through their hometown. “T Love” came off the back of “Jaded”, the band’s first release off of their forthcoming album, out this Spring. The track quickly went viral on TikTok, leading to a 200% increase in daily streams. As another exciting piece of the Quarters Of Change story, the band's original song “Mr. Wallace”, was recently used as the end title to all 6 episodes of Race: Bubba Wallace, out now on Netflix. About Quarters of Change: Quarters of Change is the Lower-East-Side quartet leading the charge on New York City’s rock resurgence, and redefining what it means to be a rock star. Composed of Ben Acker, Attila Anrather, Jasper Harris, and Ben Roter, Quarters of Change started in 2017 as a high school cover band, performing iconic rock songs of the 90s and 00s. Within a year, the band had signed a deal with Elektra Music Group/300 Entertainment, released streaming favorites like “Kiwi," and played sold out shows at renown venues like Bowery Ballroom and Webster Hall. Now, armed with a record deal and an undeniable slew of songs, Quarters of Change is poised to be alternative rock’s next big thing. Interview with POESY
We had the pleasure of interviewing POESY over Zoom video. Canadian Billboard charting goth-pop meets whimsical alt rock artist POESY. Entitled "Still Breathing", the song is the first single off of her forthcoming full length. While the first half of the album touches on a lot of life’s anxieties as we move through trauma, "Still Breathing" realizes the power in forging ahead after a challenging time. Paired with punk-rock guitars and a soaring chorus, POESY procroclaims: “cause you’re nothing, and I’m still breathing.” POESY has received acclaim from Billboard, Nylon, Ones to Watch and was chosen to write the original anthem for the Canadian Games 2022. POESY is the solo project of classically trained singer, songwriter and pianist, Sarah Botelho. She was discovered after she appeared on the first season of hit Canadian music competition show, THE LAUNCH. Her incredible breakout performance propelled POESY to new heights yet unseen, landing her a major label deal with Big Machine Records and an opportunity to collaborate with esteemed composer and producer Stephan Moccio (Celine Dione, Avril Lavigne) on her debut single ‘Soldier of Love’ . This release charted in the Billboard Top 40 and was followed by a four-track long EP entitled Glass Box Confessional. Her singles “Body Language” and “Strange Little Girl” debuted in the Top 20 at Rock Radio. Classically trained in both singing and piano from the tender age of 4, the musical world has become POESY’s playground, having had vast experience in musical theatre, numerous rock bands and even operatic singing. By pairing inspiration from her favourite novels with an air of vulnerability from her own experiences, POESY unleashes her signature siren sound, filled with big drums & bittersweet melodies. POESY has had the recent honour to write and record an original anthem for Canada Games 2022, which she will perform at the opening and closing ceremonies this summer. Her most recent project - her debut LP I Exist - was made in collaboration with UK producer Stephen Lipson (Annie Lennox, Billie Eilish) and explores themes of betrayal and the journey back to one’s truest self. Her live show is a choir girl gone rogue – with her whimsical outfits and charming storytelling, she commands your attention and pulls you headfirst into every song. We want to hear from you! Interview with Bailey Tomkinson

Interview with Bailey Tomkinson
We had the pleasure of interviewing Bailey Tomkinson over Zoom video. St. Ives-based singer and songwriter Bailey Tomkinson recently released her highly-anticipated EP Califonia Fire. Returning with the warming track "Deja Vu". The woozy americana-toned single effuses elegance with its charming instrumentation and softly sung lyricism reared deep from Bailey's evocative emotions. Unravelling a melancholic, almost lullaby-like chorus, "Deja Vu" gifts us with a hazy concoction of shimmering guitars, soothing drums and gentle harmonies - a combination of pure bliss. Mixed by John Cornfield (Oasis, Muse) and produced by Gareth Young (Sugababes), "Deja Vu" shares the impressive strength of Bailey's heartfelt songwriting whilst also showcasing an artist confident in her musicality. First making headlines in 2020 when she beat both Dua Lipa and The Pussycat Dolls to the #1 spot on the iTunes video charts despite being an unsigned artist, Bailey has since been featured in The Daily Mail, The Times, Cornwall Live, The Financial Times, The Independent, BBC Radio 4 and more for her 2021 single "Bright Red". Criticising a local hotel for the destruction of coastal headland for G7 meeting space - something which recently saw an appeal work in her favour - Bailey's passion for the environment and protecting her homeland resonated with those who backed her single to reach #1 in the iTunes singer/songwriter charts. Bailey has already announced that she'll be playing a variety of festivals this summer including The Great Escape, Wilderness, Spring Classic, Rock Oyster and Altitude. Bailey's forthcoming EP California Fire is out now. We want to hear from you!
