Punching The Clown with Henry Phillips
Jun 24 2021
Punching The Clown with Henry Phillips
This week we're celebrating the film Punching The Clown and it's hilarious, humble, writer and star - Henry Phillips! Movie making is never easy, whether it's a big budget blockbuster or an independent comedy - it takes drive, determination and a belief in your idea. It also helps to have at least a few friends that also believe in you. Punching The Clown tells the story of a traveling comedian and all he has to put up with. It is a collection of fantastically funny and real life stories from Henry's early days on the road. Directed by Henry's long time friend and filmmaker - Greg Viens and co-starring some pretty recognizable faces (now), this is one of those movies you will want to see again and again, finding something new every time. I highly recommend watching Punching The Clown and then checking out my talk with Henry. One of the nicest humans I've met with the Los Angeles comedy scene and easily the funniest. He's got a ton of content online - do yourself a favor and get in there!---Check out the Highway Man show on Patreon!https://www.patreon.com/HighwayManShow---Get a shout out from Henry on Cameo!https://www.cameo.com/henlips1---Follow Henry on social media:https://www.instagram.com/henlipshttps://www.twitter.com/Henlipshttps://www.youtube.com/user/henlipshttp://henryphillips.com---Check out Jon's latest comedy album, COMPROMISED MATURITY: https://800pgr.lnk.to/HuckWEFollow Jon on social media:Instagram | https://www.instagram.com/jon_huckTwitter | https://www.twitter.com/jonhuckJon's website | https://www.jonhuck.me/---Follow Producer Indy on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/indyfawcett---Produced by https://www.chobo.co—Recorded 2021-06-09—#SHJH #PunchingTheClown #HenryPhillipsSupport this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/speaking-highly-with-jon-huck/donations
Stand Up For Pits with Rebecca Corry

Stand Up For Pits with Rebecca Corry
This week we're celebrating Pibbles or Pit-Bull type dogs! Like 99.9% of humans - dogs are not born evil. But years of misinformation and abuse have given these dogs a bad name. The truth is - these types of dogs are smarter and more compassionate than most other dogs. Our guest - comedian Rebecca Corry and her Stand Up For Pits Foundation have done so much to help Pibble's world wide. Not just finding homes for abused and abandon dogs but also changing the way pit bull type dogs are perceived by society. Rebecca is the best! We talk about using stand up comedy for good, organizing 5,000 people in DC and *WARNING* Dog Fighting. Also, no need to point out how sheltered I must have been as a younger person to not know anything about dog fighting until recently (last 15 years or so). No one's gonna argue that. Life is about learning as you go. Enjoy the episode and then go donate to Stand Up For Pits at the link below.---Check out Rebecca's foundation, Stand Up For Pits!https://www.standupforpits.us---Follow Rebecca online:https://www.twitter.com/HippoloverCorryhttps://www.instagram.com/rebeccacorryhttps://www.rebeccacorry.com---Check out Jon's latest comedy album, COMPROMISED MATURITY: https://800pgr.lnk.to/HuckWEFollow Jon on social media:Instagram | https://www.instagram.com/jon_huckTwitter | https://www.twitter.com/jonhuckJon's website | https://www.jonhuck.me/---Follow Producer Indy on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/indyfawcett---Produced by https://www.chobo.co—Recorded 2021-04-20—#SHJH #StandUpForPits #PitBullsSupport this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/speaking-highly-with-jon-huck/donations
Day On The Green Music Festival with Dean Delray

Day On The Green Music Festival with Dean Delray
This week we're turning it up to 11 and celebrating Day On The Green - the gold standard of music festivals. Every festival you go to today stems from Day On The Green - the brain child of Bill Graham. The lineups were insane, the crowds were massive and everybody rocked out - including our guest Dean Delray. Day On The Green - September 2, 1978 was Deans first concert at the Oakland Alameda County Coliseum. As a music lover, especially of that era, it was great listening to Dean recount not just that day but how music and comedy helped shape who he is. From the Bay to LA Dean is one of the hardest working comedians out there today... and he can sing some Bon Scott era AC/DC with the best of them. Check out Dean's podcasts The Grail and Let There Be Talk to hear more about music, comedy and all the finer things in life. This was a fun episode. Thanks to Dean for sharing his experiences and thank you for listening and checking it out! Mystery Science Theater 3000 with Jonah Ray

Mystery Science Theater 3000 with Jonah Ray
👇 🤖 Contribute to the MST3K Kickstarter! 🤖 👇https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/mst3k/makemoremst3kThe second episode we ever recorded is our lucky number 13! And we are raving about Mystery Science Theater 3000! One of Jon's favorite television shows... that Indy has never seen an episode of. Terrible movies being relentlessly mocked, all in the name of laughter. Since 1989 Joel Hodgson's brain child, MST3K, has been taking the weirdest and often times the most unintelligible movies ever produced and turning them into comedy gold by riffing a new layer of jokes, quips and wise-cracks over the existing footage. The show was canceled in 1996 and revived on Netflix in 2017 for two very funny seasons with new host Jonah Ray at the helm. Jon talks to Jonah about being the third host of the iconic show, meeting Joel Hodgson and being able to work on the show that he loved as a kid. We really appreciate him taking the time to chat with us and for putting up with Jon's power going out at the end. We hope that this episode will inspire you to donate to the kickstarter campaign so we can all see some more MST3K from this outstandingly hilarious cast!
