The journey to your destiny will not be an easy trip. That is why
you need protection. One of the promises God gave Abraham in
Genesis 15:1-21 was, "I am thy shield."
This is one of the most powerful declarations of the covenant:
God is your shield! This shield is your salvation: "Thou hast also
given me the shield of thy salvation..." (Psalm 18:35).
This shield lifts you up from despondency and discouragement:
"But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of
mine head" (Psalms 3:3).
