Our Editor's Take

It's amazing that after two decades in radio, Skeery Jones and David Brody still have something to say. It seems like The Brooklyn Boys Podcast hosts will never run out of conversation topics. Whether they gripe about pet groomers or share a visit to a haunted house, there's always more to talk about. Still, the pair manages to keep the discussions entertaining and hilarious. It makes sense, considering the two know each other so well. Only best friends can have such effortless chemistry that produces a captivating podcast. It also doesn't hurt that both hosts have extensive experience in comedy.

Even before joining Elvis Duran and the Morning Show, the hosts made humor their career. The podcasters refer to themselves as "Skeery and Brody." Skeery starred in the Spike TV prank show Phowned! He was also a funny visiting panelist on The People's Court and The Tyra Banks Show. He is most familiar for his morning show segment, called "Phone Taps." He'd call people and pretend to be a silly character. One of these was Mr. Michael Oppenheimer, the relentless telemarketer.

His podcast cohost Brody performed with the improv group The Comedy Express. He also wrote monologue jokes for Jay Leno, Bill Maher, and Conan O'Brien. After joining radio, Brody began writing parody songs and commercial spoofs. Many fans of the morning show also associate him with his funny cartoon voices and accents.

On The Brooklyn Boys Podcast, the pair spend most of their time chatting. They discuss the latest outlandish news piece they heard or their recent travels. As true Brooklyn residents, they both have the signature accent. They also possess a talent for complaining. Whether they discuss customer service or Thanksgiving dinners, they manage to get annoyed. But it's all in good spirit and with great humor.

Listening to The Brooklyn Boys Podcast is like joining in on an intimate conversation. Sometimes, the only way the two friends can exchange affection is with ridiculous nicknames or subtle death threats. New episodes debut weekly.
