45 - Guest Episode - Vulnerability, self-acceptance and forgiveness - with Marie Byrne
Marie Byrne is one of the strongest people I know. It takes guts to leave a corporate job in the city and move to a farmhouse in the middle of the country and set up a holistic centre. Marie has done this, and so much more. We talk about her journey to creating Glosna House, and from there go deep into the process of self-care, how to listen to ourselves at that deeper level, and how to be with the disappointment and grief from the past (more than) two years. We are all works in progress, the more we accept all of the parts of ourselves, the better we can accept and understand others. I truly hope you find something in our conversation that touches you.About Marie: Marie is a qualified Humanistic & Integrative Psychotherapist & also is the Glosna House Founder. She is a fully accredited member of The Irish Association of Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapists. Marie creates & facilitates weekly support groups, meditation classes & workshops encouraging personal growth, self acceptance and letting go.Before qualifying as a psychotherapist, Marie spent a large proportion of her career within the communication industry, in sales management and training positions. 44 - Guest Episode - Finding joy on the other side of pain - with Catherine Maguire
Human beings thrive on stories, the story of who we are, and the story of where we came from. If we tell ourselves the story of our pain, then we stay in pain. It’s time to learn how to transform our stories, so that we can create something new and beautiful for the world. Catherine Maguire, Shaman and Soul Healer talks to me in this episode of healing for healers. She shares stories from her life as a farmer, to working in international television, to living the simple life. Truth, integrity and honesty is the key to healing, and Catherine's authenticity shines through in this amazing chat that we had. I really hope you enjoy this conversation, I know I did! About Catherine: Catherine was born and raised on a farm in Ireland which instilled in her a love of nature and a deep connection to the the earth and the cycles of life. Her own healing journey involved a deep dive into shamanism, tantra, and the embodiment of the sacred feminine.  These interweaving paths took her home to her authentic self and helped her to balance her inner feminine and inner masculine energies.Catherine is passionate about helping women reconnect to their creative sparkle (their essence) so that they can be the embodiment of their most authentic self. She has worked with groups and individuals all around the world in places such as Ireland, the UK, France, Italy, Spain, Finland, Germany, Russia, Australia, North America, Hawaii, Honduras, Argentina and Ghana. Catherine creates a safe, non-judgemental space for exploration and healing as well as bringing her wisdom, playfulness and sense of humour to the unfolding adventure that is life.Originally from Ireland, Catherine now lives in southern Italy, where you will most likely find her hiking early in the mornings in the mountains with her dogs.Website: www.thedivinemeridian.comMonday Meditation; Catherine sends out a free MP3 downloadable meditation (almost) weekly. She currently  teaches the Inca medicine wheel in uk and Romania, she has developed some of her courses on-line during the last two years which has made her work more widely available across Europe.  She teaches with love, artistry,. humour and grace, a blend of mythology, psychology, spirituality, grounded in the world of nature, and combined with deep healing transformative tools for life. 28 - Bonus Episode - Circle of Resilience
“We believe that the circles of women around us weave invisible nets of love that carry us when we feel raw and vulnerable, and sing to us when we feel strong and joyful. We are made to encourage each other. So let yourself be held and come and rest in the arms of the divine feminine. Show yourself for who you are in your wisdom and resilience, be a kind mirror that inspires and activates, yourself and others.”.The Circle of Resiliance project was created by Marike van IJssel en Marcella Hartjes. They say "During the transition of 2020 to 2021 we felt the need to bring together stories of women on the art of life. Stories on their way of resilience, being braver and stronger than they would have thought themselves to be." This episode of Healing for Healers features Marike interviewing Abby. You can find other interivews both in Dutch and English, and more about Marike and Marcella on their website: say: In our journey with resilience and happiness we saw the same core elements coming up, time and time again. They are not exclusive off course and open to interpretation as the richness of life will never be caught in a model. The magic of love, light, gratitude, surrender and trust is woven in to our nine ways to WellBeing. We love to take you on an exploration into these ways, that are like the petals on a flower. Both research as well as personal and practical experience has led to our naming them. Find out more about  'Nine Ways to Wellbeing' here.
