EPISODE 65: “MORE THAN ENOUGH” FEATURING AUTHOR DORITA ASHBURN AND INSPIRATIONAL FIGURE KANYA SESSER
LIVE – WED., MAY 18, 2022. This episode will feature inspirational music, positive inspirations, and author Dorita Ashburn. Evangelist Dorita L. Ashburn Turner was born in Franklin, Virginia to the late Thomas Ashburn and Dorothy Ashburn. She graduated from Franklin High School in 1991 and attended Norfolk State University and Paul D. Camp Community College. She is now author Dorita Ashburn with her hot new book, “WHEN BECOMING WHOLE BROKE ME”. In this Amazon book, the author shares her journey from brokenness to wholeness. She says that the roads in her life have been filled with curves, sharp turns, bumps, and danger. But the Lord was there every step of the way. She now hopes that you too may be blessed through her life experiences. She is here as our INSPIRATIONAL AUTHOR OF THE DAY! AND THE BEAUTIFUL KANYA SESSER! Skater, surfer, activist, motivational speaker and model are just a few of Kanya Sesser’s everyday activities. She has competed in the Paralympics, the X Games and has become one of the most inspirational voices of a generation. Born in Pak Chong, Thailand, Sesser was found on the steps of a Buddhist temple at just three weeks old. Wrapped in a pink blanket and without legs, Sesser was brought to a local hospital where she lived until entering foster care in Bangkok. At five years old, she was adopted by an American couple and has lived in the States ever since. Today, rather than a wheelchair, you are more likely to see her with a skateboard. Sesser has been shattering expectations for her whole life. Bursting with energy and an invincible attitude, nothing will stop her from achieving her ambitious goals. As a child, Sesser started skateboarding, surfing, mono skiing, wheelchair rugby, basketball, hiking, swimming and more. If adrenaline, high action and fun are involved, so is Sesser! While attending the University of Arizona, she competed in the 100, 200 and 400-metre wheelchair racing events, which set her up for the 2018 Paralympic Games mono skiing event. With over a decade of Paralympian experience under her belt, nothing stands in her way. Beyond the competitive field, Sesser has appeared in several successful modelling campaigns, including Nike, Billabong and the Panty Prop. On-screen, Sesser has featured in the award-winning series Code Black and the iconic Hawaii Five-O. Now one of the most sought-after personalities in the game, Sesser’s impact on the industry sets her apart. With her dedicated fanbase and inspiring, positive attitude, Sesser will be a trailblazer for years to come. (Bio Credit – MN2S). SHE IS OUR INSPIRATIONAL PERSON OF THE DAY!
