If the premise of The Great Creators with Guy Raz sounds a little familiar, there is a good reason for that. The show is a little like the How I Built This podcast. But this one has artists instead of entrepreneurs. It is not a coincidence that these shows have a similar theme. After all, Guy Raz hosts both programs. Raz is a legend both in public radio and in the podcasting world. The journalist is both curious about and comfortable with every type of guest. He finds common ground with everyone from actor Tom Hanks to hip-hop artist Santigold.

The Great Creators with Guy Raz debuted in 2022 with talk show host Stephen Colbert as the first guest. He explained how, after a career of making jokes in other personas, he became comfortable talking as himself. Other top guests on the podcast include actor Sigourney Weaver. She talks about how she wasn't excited about auditioning for Alien, the movie that made her a star. Zooey Deschanel tells Raz about having ADHD and why she calls it her "superpower."
