Episode 41 - The Cage of St Osyth

Spooky Gals

Sep 28 2021 • 34 mins

The small ancient village of St. Osyth, in Essex, England, has long been associated with witchcraft and magic. Much like the rest of the country, it was swept up in the witch trials craze, where many innocent people were accused of, and executed for, the supposed crime of witchcraft. It was during this time that ‘The Cage’ was built - a medieval prison used to hold suspected witches while they awaited trial. As you might imagine, due to its extensive, bloody history, The Cage has built up quite a reputation for being haunted, plagued by the spirits of those who suffered and died there.
