Anthony Pugh - Founder & Head Skills Trainer at Clockwork Athletics
Anthony Pugh is the founder of Clockwork Athletics. The game of basketball has been Anthony’s passion since the day he was born. He grew up a coach’s son and was in the gym constantly. He attended McDonald High School in Ohio and played varsity basketball for 4 years. During his 4 year career at McDonald, Anthony scored 1,000+ career points, accounted for 300+ career assists and is currently still top 5 in program wins. After being recruited by several D2 and D3 programs, Anthony was given the opportunity to be a walk on at Robert Morris University. He knew that his eventual basketball goal was to coach, so the opportunity to be a part of a Division 1 program would be very beneficial in the long run. During his freshman season, he appeared in 4 games and became very close to junior starting point guard, Kavon Stewart. They would work out regularly before and after games/practices. This lit a spark in Anthony and is when he realized that skill development was his real passion. After his freshman season concluded, he made the toughest decision of his life and decided to stop playing and dedicate his full attention to skill development. Clockwork Athletics was born on April 20, 2016 in his dorm room. Anthony graduated from Robert Morris University in May 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in Sport psychology. Clockwork Athletics continues to grow as one of the best skill development training companies in Ohio. Anthony works with players of all ages and skill levels from kids just learning how to play, all the way up to professionals. Anthony's passion and love for the game is what separates him from everyone else. During all of his training sessions, he focuses heavily on the smallest of details to ensure that the players who work with him get the most out of every training session and leave the gym better than they came.
