Secrets to taking great equine photos with professional photographer Carey Lee
What's the secret to taking those amazing, jaw dropping images we see of each other cruising through the arena? In this episode we were able to ask photographer, Carey Lee, about how he captures those really great moments with our horses.  If you live in Manitoba and compete in rodeo or barrel racing you've probably been photographed by Carey Lee at some point and maybe even bought a photo or two. Carey Lee has also earned his spot as an official photographer for Crossfire Bull Riding. During the summer months he is all over Manitoba photographing equine events and posts hundreds of amazing photos of athletes, both horse and human. We are very lucky to have such an accomplished photographer in our area!  You're probably wondering if we asked him for tips on how we can take better photos. We sure did! He gave some helpful suggestions but honestly it had us thinking we're better off on the horse and letting him take the position behind the camera lens. There is a lot of time, effort, and equipment that goes into capturing and editing a fantastic photo.  We can't thank Carey Lee enough for joining us on the podcast and giving us some insight into being an equine photographer.  CONNECT WITH CAREY LEE:  Facebook https://www.facebook.com/carey.lee.908  CONNECT WITH US: >> FIND ALL THE EPISODES: https://ride-like-a-mother.castos.com/ >> EPISODE IDEAS: https://forms.gle/1nyjF8w791oXMCmS8 >> INSTAGRAM:  https://www.instagram.com/ride.likeamother/>> FACEBOOK: https://www.facebook.com/ridelikeamother

Favourite quote of the episode, “I ask all my new clients, ‘Do you like gambling?’ and if they don’t say no I’m like, ‘We may have a problem here’ Ha ha we loved the candid conversation about how Krystal deals with budgeting for competitions and those hard conversations. Husband Day! Talking equipment with Brad Kehler and Channce Joanette
As livestock ladies it's important for us to know about the equipment we need to get the job done. This is that episode!  Being mom's with jobs and horses is pretty busy so it hasn't always been easy for us to be consistent podcasters, but it wouldn't be possible at all without our guys that have our back, Brad and Channce. So, it's only fitting that the two guys that are the biggest supporters of the podcast should be the first episode in our second year of podcasting.  On this episode of Ride Like a Mother we invited our husbands to step up to the mic and add their voice to the conversation, specifically about farm equipment.  Brad is an auctioneer at Grunthal Auction Service where him and his team auction everything from teacups to tractors. Brad is pretty well versed in the ins and outs of used equipment.  Channce has been a mechanic for 11 years. Currently he works for Kubota and Versatile. This guy knows a thing or two about keeping your equipment in shape.  We asked them both about owning and maintaining horse ranch equipment. We also discussed buying, selling and markets.  Happy anniversary to Ride Like a Mother!! March 18 marked 1 year since we posted our first episode.  WEBSITE STARTER KIT: https://carollynekehler.ca/website-starter-kit   CONNECT WITH US! >> EPISODE IDEAS SEND TO: https://forms.gle/1nyjF8w791oXMCmS8 >> FIND ALL THE EPISODES: https://ride-like-a-mother.castos.com/>> INSTAGRAM:  https://www.instagram.com/ride.likeamother/>> FACEBOOK: https://www.facebook.com/ridelikeamother >> YOUTUBE: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCYpumCi9VLrWC2ZfSuLr5pA
