The Redeemed Man

Bart Scarborough joins The Redeemed Man podcast.  Bart Scarborough, founder of Ancient Way Farm, a west Georgia retreat where ministers and other religious leaders can find the peace and quiet needed to experience spiritual growth and renewal. Citing studies indicating that 70 percent of ministry leaders deal with depression and half would leave their jobs if they could, Scarborough says it’s vital for those leaders to examine the “healthy rhythms” of Jesus Himself, who set aside time for solitude and stillness even as he preached to entire nations. “In our culture, we have decided, ‘No, we are limitless, we can just go nonstop,’ ” he explains. “But that’s not how we were designed, and it’s not how Jesus modeled living. We want people to stop and pay attention to Jesus’ life, and then to walk in that path, not run around like a chicken with your head cut off—then you will find rest for your souls.”
