Our Editor's Take

The Ten News, News for Curious Kids podcast is a news and current event show that connects kids to world events. Hosts on the show don't talk down to the kids. They explain things without being condescending. The show presents topical issues related to sports, politics, science, and other areas. It offers explanations and news on topics ranging from March Madness to UFOs.

Pamela Kirkland and Ryan Willard currently cohost the podcast. Bethany Van Delft hosted most of the first two seasons. Meanwhile, Pamela and Ryan acted as a correspondent for those. The duo stepped into the role of cohosts from the third season.

The Ten News, News for Curious Kids podcast cohosts have strong backgrounds. Cohost Pamela's love for politics and the news started at an early age. The former CNN breaking news correspondent was listening to presidential debates as early as age seven. Pamela is currently the field producer at CNN headquarters in Atlanta. She was a one-time Washington Post correspondent and also worked at SiriusXM.

Podcast cohost Ryan has had an interesting career working at Nickelodeon and Sesame Street. He was an on-air host for Nickelodeon's Slime Across America, Slimeball, and What's New On Nick. He has also hosted the Kids Choice Awards Orange Carpet show.

On the show, hosts narrate, interview guests, and explain complex topics. Listeners can expect recaps of noteworthy events in the United States and beyond. The kids' podcast delivers a wide range of content in a fun and engaging manner. Audiences can listen to topics like world record-breakers and India's Holi festival.

The hosts do a great job of providing context to current events in less than 20 minutes. They provide digestible information without compromising on quality. Sometimes a young guest host anchors the interview section. The kids may also ask questions during the show. The Ten News, News for Curious Kids is a fun, informative, and engaging podcast.
