We are looking at the evolution of media as it pertains to the psychological effects of those who interact with it. Where I argue that this media can cause people to dissociate from reality, to live in a fantasy, yet may not be conscious of it. Media that humans have been interacting with for thousands of years, religious texts, the same texts that humans are still fighting over to this day. Yet my focus in my papers is on more recent media, films, social media, and now AI.
