Three Stories and a Sign-Off
This week we have a little bit of sad news. After much discussion and consternation, I and my sisters have decided to put How in the HELL Did I Get Here on hiatus. We might be back and we might not. This wasn’t an easy decision, but life changes and it just seems like the right thing to do for right now. I want to say a huge thank you to you, our listener… and a huge thank you to my sisters for indulging my dream of creating this podcast. It wouldn’t have been possible without either you or the sisters. So, thank you so much. Seriously, the support you’ve given us and the fact that we have people listening from around the world every week still blows my mind and fills me with awe and gratitude. And, if you really miss me, you can find me at my other podcast the Fall in Love with Yourself Toolkit where I’m dishing out advice for your week, and other fun information. You might even hear a sister or two over there from time to time. For the time being, you can still catch us on Fridays on How in the HELL Did I get here Shorts which are stories pulled from the archives of How in the Hell did I get here. The plan is to keep that going for as long as it makes sense, so for you die-hard fans you can still get your fix on Friday mornings. This week we have three stories for you, one from Jenny, one from me and one from a listener and I don’t think they have anything in common… except of course all of us wondering How in the HELL did I Get Here?  Join us on Facebook! bit.ly/FacebookHITHSupport the show!  to our Storytellers: Kim A. ENCORE EPISODE: Adrienne, a True How in the HELL Did I Get Here Woman
Enjoy this encore episode of one of our favorite episodes.  We have a really special show about someone who was a really special person. My friend and former boss, Adrienne Weinstein. She’s not with us anymore, but she left an indelible mark on my life during the 16 years we worked together. She and Faye, who was my employee, were my “Jewish mothers’ and man, did we have some funny adventures. Think of us as Lucy, Ethel and Ethel and you never knew which one of us was going to be Lucy, but a lot of the time, it was Adrienne. Sadly, we lost Adrienne in 2005 and today’s show is dedicated to her and is all about her, with stories and memories from my other Jewish mother, Faye and Adrienne’s son’s Chad and Josh.A special thank you to Adrienne’s sons, Chad and Josh for joining us this week to share memories of their mom.  Dr. Chad Weinstein is hardly the underachiever he claims to be. He is founder and president of Ethical Leaders in Action, and you can find his excellent book, “Thinking Aloud: Reflections on Ethical Leadership” on Amazon! And Josh, also known as J. Elvis Weinstein has been a stand up comedy star since he was a teenager! Maybe you’ve heard his podcast, Thought Spiral. You can also catch his documentaries, “I need You to Kill” and "Michael Des Barres: Who Do You Want Me To Be?" on Amazon Prime. His latest comedy album “Chunks” is also on Amazon and be sure to follow him on Twitter! Join us on Facebook! bit.ly/FacebookHITHSupport the show! to our Storytellers: Kim A. The Ghost Child in Apt 302
If you’ve listened to the show before, you might know that myself and my four sisters consider ourselves to be witches, yep we have our own coven. Lol And in fact, our six time great grandma was actually convicted in Salem as a witch back in the 1600’s, so we do come from an actual accused witch and not only that, we all 100% agree that we grew up in a haunted house and that we all seem to have more than our fair share of paranormal encounters, excitement, and abilities. So this week we’re giving you a sneak peak of a show that we could have saved for the month of October, but why not have a little creepiness right here and right now in the middle of summer? The good news is you can count on more paranormal, creepy stories all during the month of October. Mark your calendars and be sure to tune in then if you love this kind of stuff. Our show this week is one story as told by Kari about an encounter she had a long time ago. As you’ll hear, this isn’t a story she’s told many people because well… this kind of thing doesn’t happen to that many people. - Use code HOW15 to save 15% on any session with Kim at The Coloring Book Coach- Join us on Facebook!  Follow us on Instagram @kimaflodin or @howinthehellpodcast- Share your love for the show with financial support!  Subscribe to my other podcast: How to Fall in Love with Yourself TOOLKIT- Thank you YouTube Free Music Audio Library & Silent Partner for our theme song, 7th Floor Tango and ad music, Blue Skies
