Blood Sugar Blunders and Developing Diabetes: What Can We Do About It? with Dr. Dan and Angela Turo

What The Health?!

Feb 16 2022 • 46 mins

Twenty years ago, the Journal of the American Medical Association released a study suggesting that 1/3 of children born in 2002 would be deemed diabetic at some point in their lifetime. Those children are now 22 years old. And surrounded by hidden and not so hidden sugar in our diets and more screen-filled sedentary lifestyles, things just aren’t looking good.

That’s why the topic of blood sugar is on the table today. We’ll dive into how insulin and blood sugar function in the body, and how our proactive choices can not only help us avoid the looming sentence of diabetes but harness our ability to live the healthy lives we were meant to enjoy. After listening to this episode, we challenge you to make one change to counteract the blood-sugar blunders in your life (we all have them!) and take your next step towards better health.
