Researchers have uncovered evidence that amyloid-beta can be transmitted from person to person via cadaver-derived pituitary growth hormone, which may lead to the development of Alzheimer’s disease, a study published in eBioMedicine has shown that young-onset colon cancer has a distinct microbial signature that may be leveraged to prevent, diagnose, and treat the disease, and mounting evidence suggests that endemic blastomycosis, a rare but potentially fatal fungal disease, is more common than previously believed.
