Sommer started Elegant and Classy Events in 2014 as an event rental company with smaller rental items and draping. Since then, the company has added planning and floral services. In 2020, the rental side of Elegant and Classy Events launched Charlotte Event Rental Company which can handle all of your rental needs from tables, chairs, draping, lounge furniture, etc. In 2017, Sommer purchased the Providence Cotton Mill and since then, the venue has grown tremendously and hosts over 130 events per year along with numerous photoshoots throughout the week.
