#1 Thing Will Smith Can Teach Content Creators
On tour for the original Men in Black movie release, Will Smith gained a valuable insight that can help content creators today as well - on YouTube and Twitch. Particularly Minecraft content creators that want to grow their channel and promote themselves to an international audience!Links:YouTube version of this podcast (if you'd like to comment): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lVf9xa-fM18 Subscribe to the podcast in your app of choice: https://dev.transistor.fm/subscribe Subscribe to the podcast on YouTube: https://youtube.com/CreatorPodcast Subscribe to my Minecraft channel: https://youtube.com/LeigerGaming This is a podcast focused on YouTube channel growth tips and advice, with practical examples and use cases that are of interest to Minecraft content creators, but advice that applies to content creators of all shapes and sizes, in any genre, on YouTube or Twitch (or both). In this episode, we talk about internationalization, reaching a global audience with your YouTube channel, and producing content that appeals to a wide range of people around the world. Minecraft is a worldwide game, and your content is consumed worldwide. Because of that, we need to think about how language is used in different parts of the world, and how that impacts Minecraft videos we create for our audience.Disclaimers:Will Smith has slapped down a few music records, several blockbuster films, and - more recently - a comedian named Chris Rock. I do not condone the actions at the Academy Awards in 2022 at all, and I do not believe that violence is ever the answer to our problems. For the purposes of this podcast episode however, I have decided to mostly ignore those recent events and focus entirely on the events of the year 1997 instead. The audio snippet was taken from an audiobook, found on Audible. Anyone potentially deciding to purchase that audiobook should be made aware of it's occasional course language and other elements that are inappropriate for a young audience.References:The audio recording of Will Smith contained in this episode comes from his audiobook on Audible, simply titled "Will".Copyright for the audio recording belongs to authors Will Smith and Mark Manson, and publisher Penguin Audio.https://www.audible.com.au/pd/Will-Audiobook/1473571995 ★ Support this podcast on Patreon ★

5 ways to collaborate with Minecraft YouTubers
Collaborating with other content creators can be tough! Even on an SMP, you can't always line up collabs with the others so even an SMP collaboration can be difficult. How do you get around this? This podcast episode includes 5 tips that will help you go from zero collaborations to having several content creators that you can work with on videos - whether you're a Minecraft YouTuber, or you create some other type of content!Join me on Discord: https://leigergaming.com/discordPerhaps not Mumbo Jumbo, Dream or Xisumavoid ... or any of the other Hermitcraft or Dream SMP members. But there are other content creators that you and I can collaborate with, it just takes a little bit of focus in how you find content creators to collaborate with, how you message those creators to join their SMP server or work with them on a video, and how you make sure anything you do is mutually beneficial for both channels (Minecraft or otherwise). This is the Minecraft Creator Podcast. Pixlriffs is cancelling his Patreon. Why?

Pixlriffs is cancelling his Patreon. Why?
Pixlriffs is a large Minecraft content creator on YouTube, so why is he cancelling his Patreon page? Why is he closing down Pixlrift, closing down his Minecraft server? And what can we learn (or should we learn) from this?Pixlriffs is the creator of the Minecraft Survival Guide, he's the voice of the Hermitcraft Recap, a player on the Empires SMP this year with fWhip and other creators, and he recently commentated the Hermitcraft Rivals or Twitch Rivals livestream. He's also had brand deals with NVIDIA and others. So why would a successful creator like Pixlriffs cancel his Patreon service? With 235 patrons, Patreon is surely a massive boost to his income, but at what cost? Perhaps it's linked to what we discussed last episode, talking about creator burnout and quitting YouTube before you get burned out as a Minecraft creator (or other content creator). That episode (about burnout) is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PwpvMFK7GG4Let me know your thoughts.Pixlriffs' YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgGjBqZZtAjxfpGSba7d6wwThanks for listening to this episode of the Minecraft Creator Podcast - a new podcast by Minecraft creators, for Minecraft creators.Hosted by LeigerGamingWebsite: https://leigergaming.comPatreon: https://patreon.com/leigergamingChannel: https://youtube.com/leigergamingFollow the podcast on Twitter: https://twitter.com/MCC_PodcastListen to this podcast on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCe4X_e944cxGpahxol0iaZwListen to this podcast in your preferred app, by searching "Minecraft Creator Podcast" ★ Support this podcast on Patreon ★
