Moments To Momentum

Oct 8 2021 • 1 hr 12 mins

It’s great to have the one and only, McKinzie Roth, as our guest this week. For those that don’t know, McKinzie is famous and ubiquitous: in other words, she’s very popular and everywhere these days, as a: journalist, reporter, on air personality, television anchor, spokesperson, podcaster, fashion model, and social media influencer/public figure (with over 78K Followers on her Instagram account @mckinzieroth).

McKinzie is a proud Indiana native: a graduate of Carmel High School, and the Ernie Pyle School of Journalism at Indiana University. At the start of her career, she served as an official NBA emcee for the Indiana Pacers, and since then has been seen locally and nationwide in commercials for several years. She is a veteran of the red carpet, covering events like the Super Bowl, Grammys & American Music Awards.

McKinzie hosted Indy’s top-rated morning show on RadioNOW 100.9 and Houston’s 92.1 before the role of “Entertainment Insider” was created for her by WISH-TV. She now anchors “All Indiana” and just launched “All Indiana Bets” weekends on WISH-TV. And coming soon, you can check out her new brand “Blonde After Dark.”

In this fun and energetic episode, McKinzie talks about growing up as a lifelong Hoosier, a visit to a local news station that changed her life, winning a contest to become a radio DJ, the importance of mentors, family, reassessing your life on a regular basis and the moment when she realized that rejection is actually redirection.
