SAO is a huge franchise that you most likely have some exposure to already, but SAO Progressive is an expanded retelling of the first arc, Aincrad, and the movie is based on that. It also mainly focuses on Asuna, rather than Kirito, as the main POV, which gives the whole thing a fresh new feel. I'm very excited to see how the Progressive movies continue! I don't really need an excuse to rave about one of my favorite light novel series again, but here's an update on it through halfway into part 4 of the story (volume 16). I finally got around to watching the Netflix Original (a real one) anime series, Eden. I enjoyed it, but it definitely has its flaws, that mostly stem from the short 4 episode runtime and fairly common scifi theme. Not the soundtrack by Kevin Penkin though. That was beautiful!
