The Necessity of Men's Work with Has Al-Hasani
There are many times when one situation in your life feels like it is going to break you. But sometimes, we ignore the every day small moments where we neglect ourselves or ignore the internal nagging that something doesn't feel quite right. Sometimes our drive for perfection or being the best at everything is what is chipping away at our mental health until we reach that breaking point. In this episode, I am speaking with Has Al-Hasani. Has noticed that the things that brought him pride previously were no longer making him happy. He continued to "do well" in life but felt disconnected with the notion that playing ruby, drinking beer and driving the perfect car made him a "successful man". The Journey of Hell Year to Hallelujah with Rach Wilson
TRIGGER WARNING: In this episode, my guest and I discuss suicide ideation. If you need to pause or stop listening to this episode, please honour that. Thank you. HELL YEAR!! That is what this episode's guest, Rach Wilson, coined a particularly challenging year in her life. Having four children, her two youngest are both autistic and both of them are non verbal. With the autism came some health challenges for her son and to ease his pain, either Rach or her husband would drive him around and most days, they watched the sun rise. In addition to being sleep deprived from driving around all night, her youngest daughter became rageful and would attempt to self harm. Choosing to Put Yourself First with Martha Mok
TRIGGER WARNING: In this episode, my guest and I dive into the following topic: Domestic Violence. If you need to pause or stop listening to this episode, please honour that. Thank you. When society tells you, you should shut up and be the person the world wants you to be, it makes you a great pretender. After 19 years of marriage, when she turned 40, Martha Mok decided she didn't want to pretend anymore. She did not want to be what society thought she was. She wanted to be WHO SHE KNEW she was. She wanted to feel empowered. She wanted to feel strong. She wanted a voice. She wanted confidence. Well, Martha found it and now has so much confidence she teaches it to others! In 12 months, Martha built her coaching business from zero to six figures and was featured in Yahoo Finance as the top 1% confidence, business coach in Australia. She is motivational speaker, NLP Master Practitioner, a multiple book author, a confidence coach for women, and a business coach for the beauty industry.I invite you to join our conversation as Martha and I discuss:Asian Background CultureBullying IsolationImposter SyndromeVerbal abuseTrauma TherapyConfidenceFearForgiving YourselfAskHonourable MentionsShare how YOU overcame a situationWhy Are South Asian Immigrant Women Vulnerable to Domestic Violence?Feel like a fraud?Best Ways To Help Your Child Reach Their Full PotentialHow Traumas Create Negative Patterns in RelationshipsWhere can you find Martha Mok?FB Group: https://www.facebook.com/marthamoksuperconfidencecoachLinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/martha-mok-superconfidencecoachYouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCatVW_JUwfJ2q1xCp8lWIhAWebsite: http://www.superconfidencecoaching.comInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/superconfidencecoaching/—————This podcast is hosted by Bianca Kesha Hughes.
