Nate Ewell got his start in hockey media relations as a student at Princeton, then worked at Michigan State, was one of the founders of InsideCollegeHockey.com and worked with the Washington Capitals before spending a decade promoting the sport with College Hockey, Inc. In 2021 Nate and his family left his native New England and trekked literally cross-country, joining the Vegas Golden Knights as their vice president of communications and content.
Now in his second season with the Golden Knights as Vice President of Communications and Content, Nate and the team are four wins from the greatest prize awarded in sports, as they begin the Stanley Cup Final this weekend versus the Florida Panthers. Ewell joined Mick Hatten and Jess Myers from The Rink Live to talk about the Knights’ playoff run, his time promoting college hockey, and the explosive growth of the game in a place known more for slot machines and blackjack than for slap shots and backchecking.
