This was a hard episode. Jason's mom, who was abusive to him and his siblings growing up, was on death's doorstep as we recorded this episode. We hope that Jason's transparency and honesty about the situation is helpful to other adult children of abusive parents who are nearing death.
We also chatted about a book that Ben is reading for work, and why it's so hard for Ben to be "told" what to do. Ben also talked about the TV drama A Million Little Things and how it is not his usual show.
We wrap up by talking about the things we're grateful for, in the spirit of Thanksgiving this week.
