Episode 1 - Society's Hidden Pain and Trauma
Many of us at some point in our lives experience trauma with a lot of us that never even realize that it has ever happened. Complex Post Trauma Stress Disorder (CPTSD) can occur at many different stages of life, most commonly during our childhood or adolescent years. If you are aware of other people who you are around every day you will often see many either openly display the symptoms of their trauma or will mask the fear and trauma, pretending that everything is just fine! A lot of people in today's society are not very good at hiding their suffering and pain and it shows in numerous ways. Social interaction, personality traits, anger, frustration and even physical traits that to some are difficult to really see unless they know what they're looking for. Sadly when most people see someone struggling daily or are having issues that often get them in trouble their first impression or reaction is a negative one! They believe that they must be lazy or stupid or anti-social. Some even think they're just born to be trouble makers. The truth is for many of them is they have been through a lot and they just can't get the help they so desperately need or they feel lost and are too afraid to reach out for help for fear of even more trauma and it is just too much! www.TRAUMATIZEDpodcast.link Twitter - @TRAUMATIZEDpc traumatizedpodcast2023@gmail.com --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/traumatized/message
CPTSD - Structural Dissociation Theory

CPTSD - Structural Dissociation Theory
With the new podcast coming out next week, this would be a great opportunity to re-release my most popular episodes! This theory, Structural Dissociation Theory in my opinion has the ability to be the most helpful and successful way of helping those who suffer from CPTSD and have multiple flashbacks and have child parts.  Our brain has parts that develop personalities that are Child Parts who interact with Adult Parts when they become triggered due to a flashback from trauma we have experienced in our childhood or even adult years.  The goal of this theory is to reconnect these parts with our adult, build a relationship with them and give them the ability to learn to trust again and allow us to heal and eventually no longer experience flashbacks to our trauma. if there was any episode of my podcasts you need to listen to this will be the one.  I believe that this Model of therapy can be the most effective for a large majority of adults who suffer from CPTSD!  The only issue is that because it is so new to the world of Psychology that not many therapists today use it for their clients.  I recommend you do your research, find the right Therapist for you who does Structural Dissociation Theory as their therapy... many do remote connection therapy these days so you can find one if you look hard enough.  Also and I want to point this out, there are forms of therapy that can do way more damage than good to someone who suffers from CPTSD.  CBT therapy and other forms of therapy can create harm to child parts, trying to convince a part that they are bad, wrong, etc is never the way to go when it comes to healing as this only causes the part to trust you even less than it already does to begin with. www.ko-fi.com/livingwithadhdandcptsd www.traumatizedpodcast.link. - Literature on Structural Dissociation Theory https://static1.squarespace.com/static/5b34a4e62971146704811642/t/5eb538fec42e012bbf312ef2/1588934910977/Structural+Dissociation+Model+%281%29.pdf --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/traumatized/message
CPTSD - Struggling with Self Isolation

CPTSD - Struggling with Self Isolation
With the new podcast coming out in a week, I figure it would be great for people to have the chance to re-listen to my most popular episodes! Many who suffer from devastating CPTSD often choose self isolation rather than risk their safety in the world and re-experience the horrible trauma from their past.  Doesn't matter if it is in their work environment, new relationships or just being out in public with a group or friends or strangers they often feel unsafe because they cannot trust those they are with and do not want to trigger any flashbacks, so it's simply easier to stay home and isolate themselves from any dangers, real or not.  It's important for someone who uses self isolation as a method of soothing their pain and suffering to get the help they need in order to have any chance to live happy and healthy. Seeing a therapist and getting the proper help, like Structural Dissociation theory will no doubt help a person with CPTSD begin to heal from their pain and suffering.  I will be hard work and you will experience set backs but this will ultimately give you the power and strength to again feel freedom from your trauma and learn to live your life without fear. CPTSD - Hypervigilance (Encore)
Welcome to the Last Episode of the current Podcast "Living With ADHD and CPTSD" on April 1st this podcast will be rebranded "TRAUMATIZED" and will be available to all every Saturday! Please tune in that day for the first episode of "TRAUMATIZED" Hypervigilance and trauma create some of the most troubling life problems. Sleeplessness. Worry. Always waiting for the other shoe to drop. For the longest time that you can remember, you’ve always felt on edge. You always are looking for something that could go wrong. The constant scanning of hypervigilance you feel keeps you from ever completely relaxing. So you keep up your guard, no matter the situation. Whether you are at the grocery store shopping or even at home watching TV, your defenses are always on. Loud noises startle you easily, and you have a tendency to get defensive quickly when talking to other people. Why is this happening? You are experiencing hypervigilance, which is likely a result of having endured some form of trauma and dealing with complex post-traumatic stress disorder https://michaelgquirke.com/hypervigilance-and-trauma-coping-with-the-effects-of-ptsd/ https://www.outofthestorm.website/hypervigilance https://cptsdfoundation.org/2019/05/22/the-influence-and-neuroscience-behind-hypervigilance-and-its-influence-over-forming-healthy-relationships/ www.livingwithadhdandcptsd.ca www.twitter/adhdandcptsd https://ko-fi.com/livingwithadhdandcptsd https://www.getrevue.co/profile/LivingwithADHDandCPTSD/issues/weekly-newsletter-for-living-with-adhd-and-cptsd-issue-2-1054952 via @revue --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/traumatized/message
