Commitment, consistency and lots of coffee is what it took to build Kahawa Company. Co=Founder Tamir quickly jumped at the opportunity to partner with his friend after years of just being an idea. Like many entrepreneurs, Tamir found himself in a new exciting industry after selling his web development business he started in his early teens. Taking these early experiences as an entrepreneur, he enters unchartered territories to offer affordable specialty coffees through lean business principles.

Kahawa Company started as a labour of love, bringing something genuinely missing to Hamilton, Ontario and Canada. It was the affordability of specialty coffee from East Africa. With our roots in sourcing and transporting coffee from East Africa to across the world since the early 1980s, we have grown valuable relationships with producers, coops and individual farmers to understand their need for a sustainable, well-funded ecosystem.
